Structure and magnetic properties of coprecipitated nickel-zinc ferrite-doped rare earth elements of Sc, Dy, and Gd

This research is the basic study of temperature-sensitive ferrite characteristics prepared by coprecipitation with doping different sizes rare earth elements. Ni0.5Zn0.5RExFe2-xO4 (NZRF) (x = 0.02, 0.05, 0.07, and 0.09) nanoparticles (NPs) doped Sc, Dy, Gd chemical method. XRD results show that grain size from 10.6 to 12.4 nm, which close average 13.9 nm observed on TEM images. It also found particles are spherical slightly agglomerated in FTIR NZRF has characteristic stretching tetrahedral octahedral sites spinel near 580 cm?1 418 cm?1. The concentrations nickel, zinc, iron, elements have been determined ICP-AES, all ions participated reaction. magnetic properties Sc3+, Dy3+, Gd3+-doped NPs at room temperature recorded a physical property measurement system (PPMS-9). magnetization can be changed adding rare-earth ions. All samples exhibit very small coercivity almost zero remanences, indicates superparamagnetism synthesized (RT). When x Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 (NZF) exhibits highest saturation magnetization. Magnetic NZGd0.07 vary most temperature. thermomagnetic coefficient stabilized 0.18 emu/gK 0–100 °C. Hence, low Curie high used prepare ferrofluid for hyperthermia.
